Explore Long Island's smallest breweries and sample their best brews on this Nano Brewery Tour. Don't be fooled by their size, what these breweries lack in size, they serve in flavor. Brewed in extremely small batches, when you visit these breweries, you're assured to be one of a select few to try a specific recipe at that time.
The first stop on this tour is Moustache Brewing Company in Riverhead, NY. Moustache Brewing Co. was founded in 2012 by husband and wife team Matthew and Lauri Spitz. Truly a labor of love and passion, they opened their doors for the first time in April of 2014 on a one barrel system. In June 2016, they expanded to a seven barrel brew house, nearly quadrupling their capacity. They pride themselves on independently producing quality beer brewed with love and ingenuity. Visit their newly expanded tasting room to sample a flight of their locally crafted beer.
Next we'll stop for lunch. Your choice between Digger's Ales N' Eats Riverhead, NY or The Tap Room of Patchogue. (see menus below).
Digger's Ales N' Eats is an Irish Pub and Restaurant that has been serving fresh handcrafted ales and eats for the past 20 years on the historic Main Street in Riverhead. Their main focus is to offer guests a lively atmosphere, tasty food and a extensive selection of beer, spirits and wine, all served by a friendly staff. You and your group will enjoy some great pub food platters and 2 pints of draft beer per person.
The Tap Room is Patchogue's neighborhood bar and restaurant serving delicious food with a large selection of craft beer. With over 27 rotating taps the Tap Room prides itself on specializing in craft and import beers. Enjoy a sit down meal as each person in group chooses an entree of their choice for lunch. We'll pass out a menu when you get on the bus and call the orders in before you arrive, so food is prepped and ready for when you arrive.
The last stop on this tour is Spider Bite Beer Company in Holbrook, NY. After years of travelling the country visiting breweries, home brewing, and working in the beer industry, brewmaster and co-founder Larry Goldstein decided to open up a brewery. The idea and name, Spider Bite Beer Company, was conceived back in 2008, along with co-founder and friend Anthony LiCausi, after a summer of too many bug bites. Make sure to try some of their award winning IPA's and stouts.
